Summer, in the Philippines, means beaches. An archipelago boasting of 7,107 islands, one will not run out of white sand, pristine blue waters and water activities.
This photo was taken 4 summers back at Pundaquit, Zambales. A local boy was swimming near the area where boats that will take visitors to the islands of Zambales parked. As soon as the motor started, this “Summer Swimmer” kept hanging by our boat’s side for a while until we sped up. Amazing swimming skills, hearty laughter, sun gleaming on their faces, as if they own the world. Or perhaps they do, at least for that summer.
