A Day in Sentosa Island

Last weekend, my friend visited me for a couple of days. I cannot show her all of my favorite places here in Singapore especially that most of those places require a good amount of walking so I decided to show her Marina Bay, upon her request, and Sentosa Island, dubbed as Asia’s favorite playground.

True enough, we had loads of fun! It is indeed a playground for kids and, like us, those who are children-at-heart.

Here I am ready for the flight of my life!

No, I am not enjoying it. :D

After strolling around the beach, taking in the sights and sounds, we headed to the Imbiah Lookout for the Tiger Sky Tower. I took the same ride last year, alone, as in I was the only passenger at that time because it was a weekday. But this time, I want to show my friend and my husband the magnificent view of the city from the top of the tower. 131m above sea level, we were treated by the panoramic view of Singapore’s shores and even glimpses of the nearby islands of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Views from the Tiger Sky Tower

Sentosa means “peace and tranquility” in Malay. It is a perfect getaway without going far. It has peaceful and tranquil beaches and spots for recreation. There are much more attractions in Sentosa Island but, if you happen to drop by, don’t miss out the Mega Zip and the Tiger Sky Tower.
