“We’re at f**kin’ Bondi, mate! The f**kin’ Bondi!” says the teenage guy behind us while our bus drives down the sloping road to Bondi Beach. He isn’t talking to us but to the person on the other end of his mobile phone. He sounds excited as if he was about to jump out of the bus anytime. I wonder whether the person he shares his excitement with can feel, or at least imagine, how f**kin’ awesome Bondi Beach is.
The sand is a delicate beige color.
The waves are rushing as the sun sets at the horizon;
the wind, chilly.
Yet I feel warm inside as we walk barefoot along the shores of Bondi.
How to go to Bondi Beach?
From Circular Quay, which is the last stop of our walking tour, we took the 380 bus going to Bondi Beach. Buses accept only prepaid tickets so buy your round trip ticket at any store selling PrePay cards. One way costs 2.20 AUD.
