A photo of the moon taken during the Earth Hour last March 23. It was exceptionally brighter that night as my university joins the world in switching off the lights at 8:30 in the evening. This is the most focused shot I could get.
The moon has inspired poets, guided travelers and witnessed many lovers. It’s a beauty difficult to reach and I still find it mind-blowing that members of our species was able to step on it just a few decades ago. The “focus”, determination and sense of competition of the participants to the space race made the reality of reaching beyond the skies and landing on the moon a possibility. I thank them not just for jump-starting the endless possibilities space technology has brought us but for inspiring everyone in the endless possibilities our dreams can make.
